BE BUSY, BE BRILLIANT
A programme for all to discover their passions and develop lifelong friends.

One of the great features of Ashville life is the amount, variation and quality of co-curricular activities on offer. HOUSE SYSTEM
The House system is a central part of Ashville life providing another level of belonging within the community learning the value of teamwork and celebrating yours and others' success.
You will be part of Duckworth, Ellis, Riverdale or Windermere. House meetings, events and tournaments produce healthy competition and culminate in the Rigg Cup. House Music at Harrogate's Royal Hall, House Sport Tournaments and House Drama, House Photography and House Debating form part of the programme.

There are many traditions at Ashville that make it special. The house system includes many competitions, House Music being my favourite. This involves the whole Senior School and allows the more senior pupils to take responsibility of a large project. The night itself takes place at the Royal Hall and is an amazing venue and makes a very suitable place for an extravagant evening.

GLOBAL, NATIONAL AND LOCAL TRIPS CALENDAR
Ashville offers a wide range of global opportunities for pupils to immerse themselves in their learning. School trips abroad often form the highlights of a pupil’s education, and for good reason. They push learning out of the classroom and into the real world, turning abstract concepts into tangible experiences. Our Trips Programme is curated carefully to provide choice and value.
Recent trips and experiences have included:
- Immersive Cultural Tour to Cambodia
- South Africa Sports Tour
- Music Tour to the Netherlands
- Languages Trip to Munich
- CERN
- Economics Trip to Bank
DUKE OF EDINBURGH's AWARD
Ashville has a reputation for academic excellence. However, the world ahead for our pupils will not be based on academic performance alone. Employers seek employees who will add value in the role, work well with others, be flexible, use their initiative and be resilient. These transferable skills are increasingly important, if not essential.
Future Ready addresses this need but perhaps more importantly provides a vocabulary and understanding that enables our pupils to recognise and articulate their strengths, build their personal confidence and optimise their skills and interests to build a successful, fulfilled future.
