Future Ready, LIFE READY
An established, exciting programme.

We pride ourselves on making our pupils “future ready”. Every day we place emphasis on developing the values, skills and attitudes that our young people will need as they shape their lives in an ever evolving present and future. Enquire Now
WHY A FUTURE READY PROGRAMME?
For our Prep School pupils, the only thing we can say without too much fear of contradiction about the future is that it will encompass a world of change. The Future Ready Programme nurtures essential life skill qualities such as the importance of engagement, perseverance, determination, of being a member of a team and, when required, being a leader and a decision-maker.

BECOMING YOUNG LEADERS
At Ashville Prep School, we believe that developing leadership skills from a young age is essential for preparing pupils for the next stage of their education and life beyond. Ashville Young Leaders celebrates young leaders across the Prep School and the leadership attributes associated with creating successful leaders.
We encourage all children to embrace leadership opportunities in their day-to-day learning, starting with classroom-based roles in the Pre-Prep. As pupils move through the Prep School and into Prep 6, we provide them with the opportunity to take on a range of more significant leadership responsibilities. These include traditional roles such as Head Boy, Head Girl and House Captains, as well as leadership positions in Music and Performing Arts, Digital Leadership and Sports Captains.
Our Prep School follows four leadership attributes: Care, Curiosity, Courage and Commitment.

FUTURE READY OPPORTUNITIES
Outside of the classroom there is a programme of opportunities to empower your child to make successful choices for their future including themed days, guest speakers, team work initiatives and outdoor learning.
AN HOLISTIC APPROACH TO EDUCATION
Technologies such as micro:bits and iPads enhance learning at Ashville Prep School. This is balanced with opportunities for your child to express themselves clearly in speech and to think on their feet in order to respond coherently to someone else’s words in discussion. These constitute essential attributes of the well-educated person and come from debate in the classroom, drama and opportunities such as class-led assemblies.
