iPads

iPads will be returned to pupils as soon as possible minimising the time without. No loan device will be supplied, except where an iPad needs to be sent to Apple under warranty. Please note that this will take longer to turn around.

Homework can still be completed either at school during the working day, or at home via Microsoft Teams on another device logged in with their school credentials.

Pupil emails can also be accessed here, using their school login details.

If your device is damaged by a fellow pupil/s, the repair charges will be passed on to the pupil/s who caused the damage.

The repair form must be submitted as soon as possible (with full information and witness names) to allow the School to corroborate this. Where insufficient evidence is provided, or events cannot be substantiated, the repair charge will be forwarded to the pupil issued with the iPad, who has responsibility for its safekeeping.

Where another pupil has damaged your iPad, it is important to report this to your Head of Year, along with details of any witnesses, (including teaching or support staff) and submit your ‘Damage Form’ quickly with as much detail as possible so that we can confirm your version of events. If the incident can be confirmed, then the other pupil will be charged for the repair.

The iPad will have the ‘FindMy’ app installed and will have an Activation Lock. It is important that this is not removed from the iPad as it means the iPad cannot be tracked and wiped if necessary.

If you believe your iPad to be lost, please tell your teacher or contact the IT department straight away. They can use the school’s systems to check its last known location and help locate it. The sooner you report it, the more likely it is that we will be able to find it. Often it’s just been left in a previous lesson or in another area of the school.

NOTE: iPads lost or stolen will be replaced but you will be have to pay the full cost of a replacement iPad and case.

Subject to availability, a replacement used iPad of a similar age and model to the lost device will be issued. Where this is not possible the school reserves the right to replace the iPad with an older model from stock.
