At Ashville, lunchtime is a valued part of our school day; it is a time to refuel, socialise and practice important social skills. Meals are prepared daily on site by the Ashville catering team, who take great care to ensure that food is balanced, nutritious and enjoyable, while also catering for any dietary requirements and allergies. Ashville is an allergy-aware school and we do not serve nut-based products. Our kitchen staff are able to cater to a wide range of dietary requirements, including gluten-free and vegetarian options. Fresh, locally sourced ingredients are used wherever possible.
Little Acorns pupils enjoy their lunch in the comfort of their own cabin, seated at small tables. Pupils in Acorns dine in the Pre-Prep Hall, where they are offered a choice of main meal and healthy dessert, along with fresh fruit, crudites and yoghurt. The varied menu encourages children to try new foods and develop healthy eating habits. All pupils enjoy a 'family-style' dining experience sitting together with a member of staff to help foster good table manners.
All Pre-Prep pupils also benefit from a healthy mid-morning and mid-afternoon snack which they eat seated together.
