Sixth Form
Sixth Form Overview
What do you want from your sixth form education? Good academic results? A chance to explore interests such as sports, drama and music? An opportunity to flex your organisational muscles or test your leadership skills?
Time to think about what is happening in the world outside the school gates?
We recognise that your final two years of school education should be a combination of all these factors. We accept that academic performance is key to your future – but so is developing your talents, your awareness of other people and your sense of self. We work hard to help you develop your full potential.
Students are always surprised by how different the Sixth Form is from their previous experience of school. It is a stage of transition when relationships with staff and fellow students can be more relaxed, and you are in control of your education. It is also a time for making lasting friendships.
Once you enter Sixth Form, your role as a member of the College will change. It is not just a question of having dedicated facilities and more private study time, you will also take a more central role in the running of the school.
