Results and Destination of Leavers

2011

Below is a summary of our results from this year.

  • 61 per cent of students achieving at least one A or A*
  • 16% of all results were the top A*grade
  • 62 per cent of all exams were graded A*-B
  • 9 students passing with straight A*s and/or A’s
  • Overall pass rate of 97 per cent 

Below is a summary of destinations of leavers 2011:

• 75% of students achieved a place at university
• 18% of students will be taking a gap year to travel and will be applying for university entry in 2012
• 7% of students are entering employment, opting to miss university

Of those students going to university:

• 77% of students were successful at their first choice institution
• 33% of places achieved were at Russell Group Universities
• 86% of students achieved a place at university in the UK
• 14% of students achieved a place at university abroad (Hong Kong, USA, Canada)
