Introduction

Senior school is a significant step in the life of every child and parent. It is a step towards impending adulthood and independence, yet it is also a time when close guidance and direction is of paramount importance as young people stretch their wings.

Senior school pupils engage with a wide range of subjects and activities, many of which they have not encountered before. The change from Junior to Senior School requires new organisational skills and heralds social changes. A strong community with clear guidelines and the support of Form Tutors creates an air of security. The confidence that follows enables our pupils to gain the most from the wide range of opportunities. Intellectually and academically monitored. Regular parents’ meetings and reporting ensure that everyone remains well informed.

As they emerge into the Sixth Form, our students are equipped to take increasing responsibility for their own studies and for those around them. They have a clear sense of their own strengths and how to develop them. In short, they are equipped to study as independent young adults and to make the most of their last two years in school.

The information provided over the following pages will give you a flavour of what we have to offer, but nothing can replace a visit to the school itself.

If you would like more information or to arrange an indvidual appointment to see the school please contact the Registrar on +44 (0) 1423 566 358 or fill in our on-line enquiry form.

Details about fees and how to register can be found under Admissions.

I very much look forward to meeting you and discussing the individual needs of your son or daughter.

Andrew Fleck
