House System

On arrival at Ashville each student is assigned to a House. The Four Houses, Duckworth, Ellis, Riverdale and Windermere compete throughout the year for the Rigg and Festival trophies in a wide range of activities.

Each House is headed up by both a member of staff and two Sixth Formers (a boy and a girl) who are responsible for their respective house participation in the varying activites.

Activities covered include Public Speaking, Debating, Quizzes, Drama, Music, Photography, DT, Cooking, Swimming, Rugby, Cricket, Netball, Rounders, Tennis, Badminton, Basketball, Athletics, Hockey and Football.

The House system enables all members of the school to participate in a wide range of activities, irrespective of their ability and is a unique feature of the Ashville education.
