Functions, Events & Conferences

With an auditorium seating up to 560 people, the Soothill Hall offers the space and facilities for large-scale staged events including drama & music productions, lectures and conferences. With extensive sound and lighting equipment, the hall can be adapted to a full working theatre. Outside the hall is a spacious foyer area, which is an ideal break-out or exhibition area for events and conferences, or catering area for events and functions.

The beautiful oak-panelled Memorial Hall can seat up to 120 people theatre style, and is licensed for marriage ceremonies. The Memorial Hall Gardens provide a stunning backdrop for your wedding photos. For smaller, more intimate events, dinners and parties, the hall can accommodate up to 80 guests banquet style.

The traditional school dining hall can seat up to 200 guests for a formal dinner or wedding reception. We offer self-serve or waited on catering, and we can tailor make menus to your specific budget and requirements. The dining hall opens out onto the Headmaster’s Lawn, offering a picturesque outdoor option for summer parties and celebrations.

A range of smaller halls and rooms offer a solution to all your event and function requirements.

Bespoke Event Management Service

We have a dedicated Event Manager on hand to coordinate all event and accommodation bookings at Ashville College, and to ensure your event is well managed and everything runs smoothly.

With an excellent support team on hand, we are able to offer the following:

  • Tailor made set up of the facilities you are hiring
  • The use of our technical facilities (lighting, PA system, AV equipment), and our technical expert can be hired to provide support both prior to and on the day of your event.
  • Our catering team are happy to design a menu to suit your individual requirements, from light refreshments to a five course banquet.
  • As a licensed premises, we have license holders on site to carry out sound checks where required, and we can provide a bar and bar person for your event.
