Scholarships and Bursaries
Ashville currently offers the following scholarships and bursaries:
Forces Boarding Bursary - If a parent is serving in the armed forces and their children are boarding at Ashville, the bursary is 10% of tuition and boarding fees for junior and senior school pupils.
Children of Methodist Ministers Bursary - If a parent is serving as a Methodist Minister, their children are entitled to a 10% bursary on tuition and boarding fees for pre-prep, junior and senior school pupils.
For families in membership of a Methodist Church, means-tested bursaries are also available, administered by the Methodist Independent Schools Trust. The deadline for applications is Friday 27th January 2012 and application forms are available upon request from the College.
Discretionary awards
Scholarships - These are awarded at the discretion of the Headmaster for excellence in academic performance and other areas. Scholarships are awarded to pupils for specific stages of their education at Ashville.
Financial Assistance - Bursaries are available at the discretion of the school, and are means tested. If you would like any further information on scholarships, please contact us or call the Finance Bursar on: 01423 566358. Bursaries are generally awarded in the Spring term and parents are encouraged to apply in the Autumn term.
Art, Drama, Music and Sports Scholarships
In addition to Academic scholarships, Ashville College offers scholarships for Art, Drama & Music on entry into Year 7, Year 10 and Year 12 (Lower Sixth). Sports scholarships may be awarded on entry into Year 10 and Year 12 (Lower Sixth).
This section explains the assessment process and, where possible, the standards expected at each level. All candidates will be required to gain the normal academic qualifications to enter the school.
In each case, parents must notify the Registrar if they wish their child to be considered for a scholarship, Scholarships will be awarded in the Summer Term.

Practical assessment day covering a range of sports. Applicants should be of county standard or similar (indicated by times or national body qualifications). Applicants should offer at least one major sport (hockey, netball, cricket or rugby) and one minor sport. |
