Structure
We describe Ashville as a ‘family of schools’. Many children join us in Pre-Prep when they are four years old and remain with us until they are eighteen and have completed their A levels. Others join us along the way and quickly become part of our community. All of these children grow with us in a secure environment where they form close relationships with both their peers and their teachers. They progress naturally from one level of education to the next, from Pre-Prep to Junior School and then to Senior School and Sixth Form, some of whom live with us during term time in our Boarding Houses. Teachers at all levels are familiar faces, and the college campus is an environment in which they are totally at home. We believe that this continuity and security stimulates greater achievement, creating an atmosphere in which education and confidence flourish at all levels.
The concept of family is very important to us and we work hard to involve everyone in our community. Testimony to our success in this is the strength of two groups: the Ashvillian Society, which brings together former pupils, and the Friends of Ashville, a social group for parents of current pupils. Both organisations play an active role in the life of the College.
