Foundation

Ashville College was founded in 1877 by the Methodist Church. It merged with New College and Elmfield College in the 1930’s and is today the oldest private school in Harrogate.

In 1981 the school changed from a boys school of 362 to co-educational. Today Ashville has 840 pupils, with over 100 full and part time staff.
